Homeopathy: Claims of Efficacy and Safety – Who says it’s so great?

Because of the rise in confidence concerning wellness and alternative healthcare, chiropractors are at point of definition.  We will be either specialists limited to simple musculoskeletal care or leaders in wellness care.  As the reigning number one natural healthcare profession, we have an excellent opportunity to etch a niche in this next trillion-dollar industry as primary health providers, and homeopathy can significantly help us achieve that position. 

Similarities of Chiropractic and Homeopathy

With its similarity in philosophy, mode of action, and effectiveness, homeopathy can take chiropractic higher toward completing the objectives laid out by its founders.  Homeopathy has the ability to correct nerve interferences throughout the brain and periphery of the body.  Chiropractic can be completed with homeopathy, freeing chiropractors to become the doctors of the whole nervous system.  However, there will inevitably be questions as to just how homeopathy makes its claims to be so powerful, yet so safe, and so effective.

Remarkably, this safety profile makes homeopathy valid and applicable for pregnant and nursing woman, children, and newborns, as well as people on multiple medications.

Selecting Homeopathic Remedies

When considering homeopathy, be certain the products are registered with the HPUS.  With “HPUS” on the label, the manufacturer is required to provide documentation and “proof of claims” for each ingredient of every formula manufactured to be fully compliant to all regulatory guidelines of the FDA and fall within the unprecedented safety and efficacy of homeopathy.  Check to see if the maker is an FDA registered pharmaceutical manufacturing company operating in strict accordance and compliance with the FDA and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Homeopathy, like chiropractic, offers a vitalistic approach that helps activate innate intelligence.  Homeopathy, with its energetic approach, is deep acting, yet subtle and gentle, unlike biochemical substances that have metabolic effects whether or not they are needed.  The more I have studied homeopathy, the more I have realized that, when it is combined with chiropractic, it adds a dimension of balancing innate intelligence not found in the chiropractic adjustment alone.
