Q: Tell us about your plans for Parker College and Parker Seminars in continuing to “Move the Profession Forward” in 2005.

Mancini:  Parker College of Chiropractic provides an educational curriculum and environment that creates a strong foundation for our chiropractic students to succeed, while here, and then in practice.  Parker continues as a leader in chiropractic education by adding more business classes, making the clinical experience from day-one more powerful, building self esteem by creating strong orientations and clinic camp, teaching the most effective techniques to our students, and emphasizing the importance of chiropractic research and philosophy.  We also strive to inspire our students to learn, rather than forcing them to learn.

The Parker Seminars continue to grow by featuring the best and brightest in the chiropractic field and by providing classes and continuing education subjects our attendees request.  We will continue to bring the gurus of motivation and personal development to empower our people and our profession.  We will continue to encourage our celebrity patients to speak out and support our profession publicly.  Patients will also be invited for special classes in order to make those communities stronger and more educated as to the value of chiropractic.

Q: Any other changes or trends you see happening at Parker that our readers should know about?

Mancini:  Our main objective is to move our profession forward with credibility and passion.  We will continue to be inclusive in our positions, and plan to reach the masses through events, media and print.  We must continue to educate the public, as they are our customers and best allies.  We have built a very strong faculty and administration to ensure that we continue to raise the bar of excellence.

Dr. Mancini became the fifth president of Parker College of Chiropractic in 1999.  A 1990 graduate of Parker, he has run successful practices both in the United States and Europe, has received numerous awards and been featured in newspapers and magazines nationwide.  Dr. Mancini co-authored Chicken Soup for the Chiropractic Soul®,  with best selling authors Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen.
