“Last year around this time Congress voted to delay ICD-10 as part of the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act,” said Robert Moberg, CEO of ChiroTouch. “This year’s reauthorization did not include such language, which sends a signal loud and clear to all healthcare professionals – ICD-10 is coming and it’s not going to be delayed.”
In a landslide 392 to 37 vote, the US House of Representatives recently passed legislation that provides a permanent replacement to the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) that has vexed healthcare providers for more than a decade. The bill, H.R. 2, the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act, did not include any references to ICD-10 implementation or an ICD-10 delay. Two weeks ago, the Senate followed suit, passing the bill in a 92 to 8 vote.
“To help our clients make a smooth transition, ChiroTouch stands ready to deliver both the technology and training for our family of practices,” added Robert. “We invite doctors to contact ChiroTouch to learn more about how we can keep practices running smoothly with a system founded on ease-of-use, compliance, and comprehensive documentation.”
